Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Build, configure, and support AWS infrastructure based on business and engineering requests.

Support the ongoing rebuild and modernization of the organization’s AWS environment.

Administer Azure infrastructure within a Microsoft-centric enterprise environment.

Deploy and manage cloud resources including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services.

Create and maintain infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.

Support Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, and Windows Server environments.

Implement infrastructure upgrades, patching, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Assist with infrastructure design, troubleshooting, and operational support across cloud and hybrid environments.

Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams on modernization initiatives.

Participate in disaster recovery, backup, resiliency, and availability planning.

8+ years of Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Engineering experience.

Hands-on AWS engineering experience with the ability to build and deploy infrastructure from requirements.

Experience supporting AWS services such as:

EC2

VPC

Route 53

Load Balancers

Security Groups

IAM

Strong Microsoft Azure administration experience.

Windows Server administration experience.

Active Directory and Azure AD experience.

DNS, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting experience.

PowerShell automation experience.

Experience using Terraform and/or Ansible.

Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.

Strong understanding of security best practices and infrastructure hardening. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification.

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

Experience designing and implementing cloud migration projects.

Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

Experience supporting Linux environments.

Healthcare, financial services, aerospace, manufacturing, or other enterprise environments.
