Software Engineer - Medical DevicesCompany OverviewAn innovative medical technology company is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and continuous improvement of regulated medical device software and associated digital infrastructure.Solicitar este puesto es sencillo.Desplácese hacia abajo y haga clic en “Solicitar” para ser considerado para esta posición.Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will contribute across the full software lifecycle, working closely with hardware, data, regulatory and quality teams to deliver reliable, secure and compliant medical applications.The RoleThe Software Engineer will be responsible for gathering requirements, defining system functionality and developing high-quality, testable software.The role will also support software architecture, cloud infrastructure, verification, cybersecurity testing and the preparation of technical documentation required within a regulated medical device environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test and maintain medical device software across the full development lifecycle.Contribute to software architecture and communication between user interfaces, backend systems and algorithmic modules.Develop well-designed and efficient software using technologies including C#, .NET, C++, MATLAB and WPF/XAML.Support the integration of signal-processing, algorithmic and MATLAB-derived modules.Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS or similar platforms.Conduct unit, integration, regression and software verification testing.Support automated testing, static code analysis, code coverage and CI/CD processes.Prepare test protocols, datasets, expected results and verification reports.Maintain traceability between requirements, risks, design, code, tests, defects and software releases.Investigate and resolve software defects and verification deviations.Maintain Git repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, tags, releases and code review workflows.Prepare and maintain software lifecycle and technical documentation, including architecture, design, traceability, risk management and verification records.Support software cybersecurity and data-protection activities.Analyse system performance, including sensitivity, specificity and output consistency.Coordinate software changes, technical impact assessments and controlled releases.Collaborate with external software development or testing providers where required.Ensure development activities comply with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.Candidate ProfileDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical discipline.At least two years’ experience in software development and testing, ideally within a medical device or similarly regulated environment.Strong programming knowledge across C#, .NET, C++, MATLAB or comparable technologies.Experience developing desktop applications using WPF/XAML.Practical knowledge of Git-based version control and software release processes.Experience building cloud infrastructure using AWS or a similar platform.Understanding of software verification, validation and traceability.Knowledge of regulated software standards such as IEC *****, EU MDR, MDCG guidance and FDA requirements.Understanding of cybersecurity and data-protection frameworks, including GDPR, NIS2 and HIPAA.Embedded software experience would be advantageous.xqysrnh Strong written and spoken English.
