Software Engineer - Medical Devices Company OverviewAn innovative medical technology company is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and continuous improvement of regulated medical device software and associated digital infrastructure.Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will contribute across the full software lifecycle, working closely with hardware, data, regulatory and quality teams to deliver reliable, secure and compliant medical application s.oleThe Software Engineer will be responsible for gathering requirements, defining system functionality and developing high-quality, testable software.The role will also support software architecture, cloud infrastructure, verification, cybersecurity testing and the preparation of technical documentation required within a regulated medical device environmetiesDevelop, test and maintain medical device software across the full development lifecyContribute to software architecture and communication between user interfaces, backend systems and algorithmic moduDevelop well-designed and efficient software using technologies including C#, .NET, C++, MATLAB and WPF/XSupport the integration of signal-processing, algorithmic and MATLAB-derived moduBuild and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS or similar platfoConduct unit, integration, regression and software verification testSupport automated testing, static code analysis, code coverage and CI/CD procesPrepare test protocols, datasets, expected results and verification repoMaintain traceability between requirements, risks, design, code, tests, defects and software releaInvestigate and resolve software defects and verification deviatiPrepare and maintain software lifecycle and technical documentation, including architecture, design, traceability, risk management and verification records.Support software cybersecurity and data-protection activitAnalyse system performance, including sensitivity, specificity and output consisteCoordinate software changes, technical impact assessments and controlled releaCollaborate with external software development or testing providers where required.Ensure development activities comply with applicable quality and regulatory requiremeofileDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical discipAt least two years’ experience in software development and testing, ideally within a medical device or similarly regulated environStrong programming knowledge across C#, .NET, C++, MATLAB or comparable technoloPractical knowledge of Git-based version control and software release proceExperience building cloud infrastructure using AWS or a similar platUnderstanding of software verification, validation and traceabiKnowledge of regulated software standards such as IEC *****, EU MDR, MDCG guidance and FDA requiremUnderstanding of cybersecurity and data-protection frameworks, including GDPR, NIS2 and HEmbedded software experience would be advantag
