Job description

We are looking for an IT Application Specialist to develop, integrate, and operate the applications that keep our organization running. You will work across the full stack - from Python and Java development to Jira Cloud configuration, data pipelines, and BI dashboards - turning business requirements into reliable, well-documented technical solutions., The role suits someone who enjoys variety, from hands-on coding and API design to database work and deployment, and who is keen to bring AI-assisted development into everyday practice. Aufgaben

  • Develop and maintain internal applications and integrations using Python, Java, and suitable web technologies
  • Evaluate, implement, integrate, operate, and further develop company-wide applications
  • Gather requirements and translate user needs into sustainable technical solutions
  • Design and maintain APIs, webhooks, batch processes, interfaces, and data flows
  • Configure Jira Cloud projects, workflows, permissions, automations, and custom fields
  • Work with relational databases, advanced SQL, data models, and ETL/ELT processes, ideally using Snowflake
  • Create dashboards and analytics solutions using Sigma Computing or comparable BI tools
  • Deploy and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, and hosting platforms
  • Implement secure coding, authentication, secrets management, and audit logging
  • Use AI coding tools, LLM APIs, agents, and automation in application development
  • Maintain technical and user documentation and occasionally provide user support or AI workshops

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant experience in application development, integration, or a comparable role
  • Strong programming experience in Python or Java and familiarity with the other
  • Good understanding of software architecture, front-end and back-end development, APIs, integrations, and automated testing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and data integration
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Experience with application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Practical experience with Jira Cloud configuration and business intelligence tools
  • Extensive experience with AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, and AI-supported development workflows
  • Independent, proactive, and structured way of working, with the ability to manage changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and very good English; German is beneficial

Nice to have:

  • Experience with specifically Snowflake, Sigma Computing, Railway, and / or Sentry
  • Experience developing AI-enabled applications, RAG solutions, or self-hosted AI systems
  • Familiarity with OAuth, SSO, and secure application design
  • Experience delivering technical workshops or user training

Benefits & conditions

An annual gross salary starting from € 60,000 (approx. € 5,000 gross per month, paid 14 times a year), with a willingness to pay more depending on your professional qualification and experience.
