Job description

  • Develop features for a real-world inspired software, web, or application project.
  • Build frontend interfaces and/or backend functionality based on project requirements.
  • Debug code, fix issues, and improve application performance.
  • Apply coding standards, testing techniques, and version control practices.
  • Collaborate through structured development tasks and mentor feedback.
  • Complete a real-world software development project and create an interview-ready portfolio project suitable for our CV and GitHub.

  • Support, We are London Success Academy, and we offer a 4-week remote Developer Work Placement for aspiring Software Developers, Web Developers, Full Stack Developers, Frontend Developers, Backend Developers, Mobile App Developers, and technology graduates who want practical exposure to real-world software development projects. Our expert-led programme covers the software development lifecycle, Agile fundamentals, frontend and backend development concepts, clean code, debugging, testing, version control with Git, and presenting technical solutions. Participants receive an official UK developer work experience certificate, a portfolio project for CV, GitHub, and interviews, practical experience in software, web, and application development, mentoring from our Success Coach Nilesh and industry experts, UK industry exposure, networking opportunities, a letter of recommendation for outstanding participants, recognition and rewards for top performers, and a flexible schedule. This is an unpaid learning programme focused on skill development and gaining valuable UK work experience, with only 10 places available and start dates in September 2026.

Requirements

  • We welcome recent graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development, Mobile Development, Engineering, or related fields.
  • We welcome individuals looking to start a career in Software Development, Web Development, Full Stack Development, or Application Development.
  • We welcome junior developers looking to gain practical UK development experience.
  • We welcome career changers interested in becoming software developers.
  • We welcome technology professionals looking to strengthen their development portfolio.
  • Bonus, not essential: basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
  • Bonus, not essential: familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern frontend frameworks.
  • Bonus, not essential: understanding of databases such as SQL or NoSQL.
  • Bonus, not essential: knowledge of Git or version control tools.
