Job description
We’re working with an established and growing organisation in the care and education sector that is continuing to invest in its data capability. They’re looking for a hands-on Data & Analytics Lead who can help shape their data strategy, develop their modern data platform and turn business data into meaningful insight. This is a broad role combining data engineering, analytics and technical leadership, with Snowflake becoming a key part of the organisation’s evolving data landscape. What you’ll be doing
- Take ownership of the organisation’s data warehouse and reporting strategy, with Snowflake forming a key part of the modern data environment
- Design, build and improve scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and data models
- Use Snowflake and SQL to create robust, reliable and accessible data solutions
- Develop and evolve reporting and analytics capabilities using Power BI
- Bring together data from across finance, operations, compliance, quality and other key business areas
- Improve data governance, quality, accuracy and consistency across the organisation
- Work directly with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical data solutions
- Mentor and develop a small but growing data team
- Help define the future architecture, tooling and best practices of the data function
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Snowflake
- Strong SQL skills and experience developing modern data warehouse solutions
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
- Strong experience with Power BI and business reporting
- A background spanning both data engineering and analytics
- Experience taking ownership of data solutions rather than working solely within one specialist area
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ideally experience within an SME, growing or evolving data environment where you’ve had the opportunity to wear multiple hats
- Experience with TimeXtender or similar data integration/ETL platforms would be beneficial
Benefits & conditions
You’ll be joining an organisation where data is becoming increasingly important to how the business operates and makes decisions. Rather than simply maintaining an established platform, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how the data function develops, influence technology decisions and build solutions that are used across the organisation. You’ll benefit from:
- £65,000 - £75,000 salary
- Remote working
- Genuine ownership of the data and analytics function
- Hands-on exposure to Snowflake and a modern data stack
- Direct access to senior decision-makers
- Opportunity to build and develop a growing data capability
- Work that contributes to services making a real-world difference If you’re a hands-on Data & Analytics professional with strong Snowflake, SQL and Power BI experience and want more ownership over how a data function evolves, apply now for further information
