Data Engineer (Snowflake) - Outside IR35

• Financial services, FinTech or trading experience
• Strong Snowflake / Data Warehouse / Lakehouse experience
• Expert SQL and dimensional data modelling
• 2+ years’ production dbt
• 3+ years’ enterprise Power BI
• Advanced DAX, Power Query/M and semantic modelling
• Strong ETL/ELT and data pipeline experience

A growing financial services business is investing heavily in its next-generation data platform, creating a modern ecosystem that will power trading, operational, regulatory and commercial intelligence across the organisation. They’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take significant ownership of a Snowflake-based Data Lakehouse and help shape how data is ingested, modelled, governed and ultimately consumed across the business.

You’ll work across the full data lifecycle rather than being siloed into pipelines or BI. That means building ETL/ELT pipelines across trading, CRM, finance and risk data; developing Snowflake models and dbt transformations; establishing governance and lineage; and owning the semantic layer that powers operational and management reporting. You’ll work directly with stakeholders across Trading, Finance, Marketing, Compliance and Operations to turn complex requirements into scalable data solutions.
