Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer / Data Scientist (Snowflake/Python) for a top telecommunications client supporting a large-scale merger integration initiative. This resource will play a key role in onboarding and validating new data sources, building scalable ETL processes, and ensuring data quality across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and Snowflake, along with experience analyzing and transforming large volumes of data. This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility integration effort while partnering closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to deliver actionable insights and reliable data solutions.

Day-to-Day:

Aggregate and integrate new data sources into existing platforms

Develop and maintain Python-based ETL processes

Create and optimize SQL queries within Snowflake

Validate incoming data and ensure data integrity across systems

Build automation scripts to support data quality and reconciliation efforts

Analyze large data sets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities

Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements

Support data migration and merger integration initiatives

Participate in sprint planning, standups, and other Agile ceremonies

Document data flows, transformation logic, and validation processes

Requirements

Must-Haves:

5+ years of Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Science experience

Strong Python development experience

Advanced SQL skills

Experience working within Snowflake

ETL/ELT development and data pipeline experience

Experience integrating and validating new data sources

Data quality, cleansing, and validation experience

Experience working with large datasets and enterprise-scale data environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Agile/Scrum experience Plusses:

Data Science or predictive analytics experience

AWS experience (Lambda, S3, Glue, etc.)

Telecommunications or media industry experience

Data modeling experience

Experience supporting merger, acquisition, or system integration initiatives

Exposure to machine learning workflows

Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting/visualization tools
