Job description
We are currently supporting a partner in London by cleaning up their internal data flows and reporting logic. As a Junior Data Operations Analyst, you will help us track down errors in their databases and ensure that the information moving through their systems is accurate and useful. This is a full-time, remote position where you will learn how to diagnose and repair the operational gaps that slow businesses down. What you will do
- Trace data paths from the initial entry point to the final report to find where errors are introduced.
- Audit existing logs and spreadsheets to identify duplicate records or missing information.
- Update internal documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as we repair broken processes.
- Test new routing logic in various software tools to ensure data lands in the right place every time.
- Collaborate with senior team members to verify that system migrations are proceeding without any data loss.
- Monitor daily data imports and flag any failures or inconsistencies for immediate review.
- Clean up naming conventions across different platforms to keep records organized and searchable for the client.
- Verify that user permissions and approval steps in the system match the actual workflow of the team., * A fully remote work environment that respects your time and focuses on output rather than hours spent at a desk.
- Direct mentorship from senior practitioners who have spent years fixing complex operational problems.
- Practical experience working on real business systems and tools used across various industries.
Requirements
- A logical approach to problem solving and a genuine interest in how businesses function behind the scenes.
- Basic proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to use filters and look up specific data points.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on being clear, brief, and accurate in all communications.
- The ability to stay focused while working through long lists of records or technical logs.
- Curiosity about how different software tools connect and share information through simple integrations.
- Reliability in a fully remote setting, where you can manage your tasks without constant reminders.
- Willingness to ask questions when a process does not make sense or appears to be broken.
- A preference for practical work and fixing tangible problems rather than discussing abstract ideas.
Benefits & conditions
- A competitive salary that is paid fairly based on the current market and the entry-level nature of the role.
- A culture that values written updates and clear documentation over long, unnecessary video calls.
- The chance to see the immediate results of your work as broken processes start functioning properly again.
- Professional growth within the team as you learn more about data architecture and business operations.
About the company
At Tech Pipeline, we believe that the best way to solve a problem is to get into the details and stay there until it is fixed. We avoid high-level strategy meetings and instead rely on clear, written communication to keep everyone aligned. Our team is remote, and we prioritize deep work that leads to stable, long-term solutions for our clients. Once a process is fixed and the client can run it themselves, we move on to the next challenge. We do not stay around to produce unnecessary reports or attend status updates that could have been handled with a simple written note.
