Job description

  • We support a range of infrastructure technologies to ensure reliable connectivity for critical services.
  • We work on Cisco ACI, Nexus and Catalyst switches, ASA and Firepower firewalls, Wireless LAN Controllers, and Access Points.
  • We lead Wi-Fi initiatives involving Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers, APs, guest access, and mobility groups.
  • We manage the forces Wide Area Networks, LAN and campus networks, VPNs, and connectivity to O365 and Azure.
  • We ensure always-on service across multiple data centres.
  • We participate in local, regional, and national projects delivering IT systems to support frontline policing in West Yorkshire.

  • Cloud, We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our dedicated team of network specialists at our Dudley Hill Centre in Bradford. This is a 12-month temporary contract in a dynamic public services environment, where your work will help support essential services and make a meaningful difference in the community. Requirements

  • We ideally want you to hold a Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • We are looking for at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • You should have strong technical knowledge of Cisco and Checkpoint firewall rule bases, access list configuration, NAT and PAT, TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF routing protocols.
  • You should be familiar with DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VoIP (SIP, SBCs, ATAs), IPSec, PKI, and certificates.
  • You must be able to pass police vetting and SC clearance.
  • You must have resided within the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
  • You should have strong communication skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, be self-motivated, and be capable of leading from the front.
