Job description
ProAmpac is building an enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) capability that will become the single source of truth for operational, financial, and commercial data across 80+ facilities and multiple ERP platforms. We’re looking for a strategic, influential Director of Enterprise MDM to architect the governance model, lead the enterprise roadmap, and build the organization that powers our digital transformation.
If you’re energized by building something foundational, partnering directly with executives, and creating enterprise standards that unlock analytics, AI, and business performance, this role is for you.
What You’ll Lead
You will own the strategy, governance, and implementation of ProAmpac’s enterprise MDM program, including:
-
Defining enterprise data standards across Item, Customer, Vendor, Pricing, Product & Customer Hierarchies, UoM, and other core domains
-
Establishing and chairing the Enterprise Data Governance Council
-
Building and leading the MDM organization (managers, stewards, analysts, specialists)
-
Implementing the enterprise MDM platform and integrating it with Microsoft Fabric, PeopleSoft, ERP systems, and semantic models
-
Driving enterprise data quality through KPIs such as completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and duplicate reduction
-
Standardizing core business processes (item creation, customer/vendor onboarding, pricing maintenance, hierarchy management)
-
Ensuring master data enables executive reporting, forecasting, pricing analytics, margin analysis, and AI/ML initiatives
You’ll partner directly with leaders across Finance, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, and Business Units to ensure master data becomes a strategic asset.
-
This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing within the United States.
-
Competitive compensation and bonus eligibility.
-
Travel 10% - 20%.
Why This Role Matters
This is not a maintenance role - it’s a builder role with executive sponsorship and enterprise visibility.
Requirements
-
10+ years in Enterprise MDM or Data Governance
-
5+ years leading enterprise MDM teams
-
Experience implementing enterprise MDM platforms (Profisee, Informatica, SAP MDG, Reltio, Semarchy, etc.)
-
Strong understanding of ERP environments; manufacturing experience preferred
-
Proven success driving enterprise transformation and influencing executive leadership
-
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Azure, PeopleSoft, Power BI, data architecture, APIs, or AI readiness is a plus
