Job description

Provide database administration support for SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL environments.
Configure and manage High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), replication, and failover solutions.
Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies using appropriate database tools and technologies.
Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Analyze SQL queries, execution plans, indexes, memory usage, and database workloads to improve performance.
Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, patching, and version upgrades with minimal business disruption.
Implement database security controls, including access management, roles, privileges, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
Monitor database health, capacity, availability, and resource utilization.

Requirements

8+ years of professional experience in Database Administration.
Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Database administration.
Experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL administration.
Hands-on experience with HA, replication, failover, and disaster recovery.
Proven experience in database performance tuning and SQL optimization.
Experience with database migration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting production enterprise database environments.
Strong understanding of database architecture, storage, memory management, and resource utilization.
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery concepts and implementation.
Strong understanding of database security, access controls, auditing, and encryption.
Strong SQL and scripting skills, and Oracle DBA Certification is preferred.
Design, administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise Oracle database environments., Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
