Job description
We are seeking individuals who have worked in an industrial service environment to fill the position of System Monitoring Specialist based in our Fredericksburg office.
The selected candidate will have responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- All Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through remote monitoring.
- Act on system alarms and e-mail notifications by dialing in to the compressor station.
- Proactively coordinate with Service Operations to dispatch technicians for critical alarms and preventative maintenance services.
- Coordinate site visits for inspections and audits to determine potential areas of improvement.
- Analyze data to correlate faults in system, recognize system trends and service and maintenance lifecycle calculations, and report findings as necessary.
- Supervise site work when necessary to ensure adherence to the specifications and approved budgets.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and coordinate resolution for critical alarms that may occur outside of standard business hours as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree required or 3+ years job related experience.
- Good customer service experience.
- Previous experience as a technician, troubleshooting or mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Familiar with data processing including graphing and interpretation preferred.
- Understanding of compressed air systems and the application of supply side components preferred.
- Ability to understand and produce/edit technical documents.
- Good communication skills/phone skills required.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Regular physical attendance at the worksite.
Benefits & conditions
This is a hourly position, with an annual range of $40,000-$45,000, to commensurate with experience.
