Requirements

The strengths of individual candidates will be balanced with the needs of the Division. Candidates with demonstrated experience in Software Development, Coding, Computer Programming, GIS, and other directly applicable experience are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate is someone with proven ability to perform technical requirements and successfully fill supervisory functions such as providing leadership, motivation, technical assistance, guidance, organization, mentoring, coaching, and training to a team of Software Developers., * Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology-related field.

  • Four years of experience with software programming and software modification or four years of experience working with or managing GIS systems.
  • Two years of related supervisory experience.
  • Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted., * Forward-looking towards low code/no code solutions
  • PostGres experience
  • GIS experience, * Criminal History Fingerprint / Name-based Check
  • Intensive Background Check
  • Driving History

We directly support DOJ staff involved with legal cases concerning the State and its people, Montana missing persons, victim services, children’s justice, consumer protection, criminal investigations, highway safety, motor vehicle licensing, gambling control, and forensic laboratory services.
