Job description

Design and build interactive reporting experiences as lightweight web applications (HTML/CSS/JS, React or similar).

  • Build and consume serverless APIs (AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Python) that feed governed data to those applications.
  • Contribute to and maintain component and integration tests covering rendering, state behavior, and full user flows.
  • Model and transform data (SQL, Python) to power those experiences
  • Integrate generative AI capabilities (LLM-driven summarization, natural-language querying, narrative generation) into reporting surfaces where they add real signal.
  • Use AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery, and help the team establish effective practices for it.
  • Partner with data engineers, product managers, and business leaders to translate ambiguous reporting needs into shipped, usable tools.
  • Contribute to design and component systems so your work aligns with the rest of the team’s.

Requirements

1+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
  • Experience in writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI
  • 1+ years of professional or project experience building web interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including at least one project using a modern framework (React, Vue, Svelte, or equivalent)., Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity
  • Experience contributing to serverless backends on AWS - API Gateway, Lambda, and Python
  • Experience contributing to front-end unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress) and maintaining them in a continuous integration pipeline
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3, Recharts, Observable Plot, Vega) and the judgment to know when to reach for them vs. a BI tool.
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Bedrock) into a product surface
  • Experience working with AI-powered development tools (e.g., AI-assisted IDEs, code generation tools, or similar). Candidates should be comfortable leveraging AI tooling to accelerate their workflows and be able to speak to how they’ve integrated these technologies into their day-to-day work

Benefits & conditions

RACE builds the reporting infrastructure and analytical capabilities behind data-driven decisions across our global Sales and Operations organizations.

A typical day moves between layers: a morning writing a SQL model that reshapes an operational dataset for a new leader-facing view, an afternoon building a React component that lets that leader drill from a metric tile into an AI-generated narrative of the underlying drivers, and a late-day code review on the shared component library. The role rewards people who enjoy getting both the data and the experience right in the same day, partnering with sales leaders and operations teams.

About the company

Enterprise reporting is changing. Static dashboards and scheduled PDFs are giving way to interactive, AI-augmented experiences that let leaders explore their business the way they think (conversationally, visually, and in the flow of their work). We’re hiring a BIE who can build those experiences.

In this role with the WWPS Reporting and Analytics Center of Excellence (RACE) team you’ll sit at the intersection of business intelligence, data engineering and frontend engineering: pulling the right data, shaping it for the question being asked, and then building the interface itself (the web app, the interactive visual, the AI-assisted narrative) rather than handing a dataset off to someone else to render. If you’ve ever finished a SQL query and thought “the BI tool is the wrong canvas for this,” this role is for you.
