Marine Operations (MO) Software Development Lea

Graham Technologies is seeking an experienced Marine Operations (MO) Software Development Lead to provide technical leadership for software development and IT support activities supporting NOAA marine operations. The Software Development Lead will oversee application design, development, integration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting for ocean-going vessels, marine mission systems, unmanned systems, and shore-based support environments.Location: Hybrid - Norfolk, VA; Washington, DC; and/or Lakeland, FLKey Responsibilities:Lead software development activities supporting NOAA Marine Operations mission requirementsProvide technical direction and mentorship to software-development personnelLead requirements analysis, architecture, application design, development, testing, integration, deployment, and maintenanceTranslate shipboard and marine operational requirements into secure, resilient, and maintainable software solutionsSupport applications associated with ocean-going, resolution of mission-critical software issues affecting vessel or marine operationsCoordinate technical priorities, risks, dependencies, and schedules with the Program Manager and Government stakeholdersRequired Skills:Experience:Minimum 8 years of software development or software engineering experienceMinimum 3 years serving as a Software Development Lead, Senior Developer, Software Architect, or equivalentExperience across the complete software development lifecycleExperience developing and supporting distributed, remote, or mission-critical applicationsDemonstrated experience troubleshooting complex software and systems-integration issuesEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related technical fieldClearance:Ability to satisfy all Government security, suitability, and access requirements applicable to the positionCertifications / Tools:Experience with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, APIs
