Data Migration & Validation Specialist

Data migration, Data validation, SQL, R, Peoplesoft HCM Workday HCM, higher education experience a plus.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled Data Migration & Validation Specialist to support a data migration and validation project. You will help ensure faculty data is accurately captured, validated, documented, and maintained throughout the project.

What You’ll Do

• Transcribe data elements from faculty appointment letters into spreadsheets and designated systems.
• Perform detailed data quality reviews, validation, and reconciliation.
• Identify, document, and track discrepancies or inconsistencies.
• Maintain accurate project records and supporting documentation.
• Research and resolve data issues, escalating complex or sensitive items as appropriate.
• Work with internal stakeholders to clarify data and ensure accuracy.
• Handle sensitive faculty and personnel information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
• Support broader data migration and validation activities throughout the project.

• Strong technical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel or other spreadsheet software.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets and performing data validation/quality checks.
• Ability to accurately interpret source documents and transfer information into structured datasets.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive personnel information.
