Job description

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python, web application development, REST APIs, backend services, databases, and modern software development practices. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Python-based web applications and APIs while working closely with cross-functional development teams., * Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python.

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
Build backend services using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Integrate internal and third-party APIs and services.
Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Write efficient SQL queries and participate in database design and optimization.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
Implement unit, integration, and API testing.
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other technical teams.
Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Use Git and standard CI/CD practices for source control and deployment.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Develop technical documentation for applications, APIs, and processes.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Python 3.x.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Python development.
Experience developing web applications and backend services.
Strong experience with REST APIs / RESTful web services.
Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Strong knowledge of JSON, HTTP, API integration, and web technologies.
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
Experience with unit testing and debugging.
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
