Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Support Engineer to join our client’s technology team, taking ownership of complex support issues across their Microsoft workplace environment. This is a hands-on 3rd line support role with a strong Microsoft focus. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues across Microsoft 365, Windows, Entra ID and endpoint technologies, while helping maintain a secure and reliable environment for users across the business. You’ll be joining an established team where you’ll act as a technical escalation point, get involved in improvements and projects, and have plenty of opportunity to deepen your Microsoft expertise. A driving licence is required, as there may be occasional travel to local regional offices. What You’ll Do o Provide 3rd line technical support across the Microsoft workplace environment o Troubleshoot complex issues across Microsoft 365, Windows and associated technologies o Administer and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive o Manage users, groups, permissions, licensing and access through Entra ID / Azure AD o Support endpoint management and device configuration through Microsoft Intune o Troubleshoot identity, authentication, access and Microsoft 365 connectivity issues o Act as an escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved at 1st or 2nd line o Monitor Microsoft 365 service health and investigate incidents o Support security, compliance and access controls across the Microsoft environment o Carry out configuration changes, upgrades and general platform maintenance o Work with internal teams and third-party suppliers to resolve more complex technical issues o Contribute to Microsoft 365 improvements, migrations and technology projects o Maintain clear technical documentation and share knowledge with the wider support team

Requirements

o Strong experience providing 2nd/3rd line IT support o Hands-on administration and support of Microsoft 365 o Good knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive o Experience supporting Entra ID / Azure Active Directory o Good Windows desktop and troubleshooting experience o Experience with user administration, permissions, authentication and access issues o Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to take technical issues through to resolution o Confident communicating with users and other technical teams This would suit an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer, Microsoft 365 Engineer, Infrastructure Support Engineer or Modern Workplace Engineer looking for a role with genuine ownership of a Microsoft environment.
