Our client, one of the UKâs leading MSSPâS, are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join their team due to continued growth. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced cyber security and penetration testing specialists, supporting a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.

As a Cyber Security Consultant, youâll combine deep technical expertise with strong consultancy and client-facing skills. Youâll take ownership of penetration testing engagements, working independently on projects as well as collaborating with colleagues on larger assignments.
Core Responsibilities
- Leading client-facing projects from initial engagement through to successful completion.
- Delivering a range of penetration testing services, with the opportunity to develop and specialise in areas of particular interest.
- Working as part of a team on larger and more complex engagements, taking ownership of your areas of responsibility.
- Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key interface between the company and their teams.
- Understanding client security requirements and supporting the scoping of new business opportunities.
- Working closely with account managers and commercial teams to develop and shape client solutions.
- Producing clear, accurate and high-quality technical reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Strong experience delivering highly technical security testing independently and as part of a team.
- 4+ yearsâ experience working commercially in Cyber Security
- A questioning mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptions and explore new approaches.
- A creative, tenacious approach to solving complex technical problems.
- Strong technical knowledge across areas such as operating systems, networks, cloud and web applications.
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills.
- Experience working with commercial teams to understand and scope client requirements.
- Experience managing and resolving issues with senior client stakeholders.
- An understanding of relevant cyber security compliance and regulatory requirements.

The ability to work autonomously, manage your workload effectively and remain productive between assignments.
- A degree in a business, IT or related discipline is desirable.
Certifications
- CREST CRT or CHECK Team Member certification would be useful, but isnât essential.
Weâd also welcome experience or certifications such as:
- Offensive Security OSCP, OSEP or OSWP
- Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO)
- Microsoft AZ-500
- AWS Security Specialty
- Weâre particularly interested in the skills and experience you bring, so donât be put off if you donât hold every certification listed.
