Chief Technology Officer

Euro Car Parks is seeking a Hands-on Chief Technology Officer who has experience and knowledge of AI, is data driven with has worked with large amounts of data with the ability to review code and will blend expertise in software architecture, development, cloud, end user compute, and production operations with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing managers and associates.

The goal is to evolve and nurture a world-class, modern technology function, that is both market driven and forward thinking, and to ensure the organisation has the technological capability and capacity to enable the agile development and delivery of new and improved products to provide stronger client experiences.

You will actively bring new ideas, approaches, and insights to improve the work and develop new skills and capabilities in respective areas, enabling associate growth while adding greater value. You must possess deep expertise in modern application stacks and loosely coupled architectures, strong leadership and collaboration skills and proven expertise in delivering technology implementations with large amounts of data. Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall design and solution architecture involving large data.
• Lead and maintain key design decisions and existing solution architecture documents.
• Demonstrate a Product delivery mindset, and drive capabilities and culture enabling expedited go-to-market strategies.
• Look for ways to reduce cycle time, increase velocity and increase release frequency for teams in the Agile model
• Ensure the solutions that are delivered meet high standards for quality, performance, and scale.
• Work with product owners to ensure work is clearly defined and aligned with business objectives and scoped with effective team estimation
• Driving continual improvement within the team from regular architectural reviews
• Assist in defining a strategy and be central to assuring service uptime and reliability.
• Be proactive in identifying problems and translating these into non-technical descriptions that can be widely understood.
• Leverage technology innovation as an enabler to business transformation
• Identify emerging technologies that will enable operational efficiencies and new capabilities.
• Enhancing existing eCommerce and data infrastructure for scalability and expansion.

• Detailed knowledge and previous experience with AI and Claude.
• Strong understanding of architecture, discovery, design and delivery of Enterprise, Cloud and Security technologies, preferably in a Microsoft technology stack.
• C# .NET Core, REST API Design and Development, API Management
• Document or No-Sql database solutions (particularly ElasticSearch)
• Messaging and microservices based architecture (Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions)
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining large scale data and analytical environments.
• Detailed knowledge and hands on experience with the Microsoft Cloud Ecosystem.
• Enterprise Architect experience, with the ability to support, mentor and develop teams in the adoption/migration of new technologies.
• Demonstrable experience of leading change and transformation, acting as a lead change agent.
• Significant experience and strategic understanding of UX and user-centred product development.
• Significant experience of agile product development, and a demonstrable ability to drive innovation, in partnership with internal colleagues and external consultants.
• Senior managerial experience of planning, organising, developing and directing strategic and operational digital activities.
• Proven track record of delivering innovative technology solutions in a fast-paced environment as well as leading and managing teams both UK based and off-shore.
• Possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity and learning agility. A natural change agent with a combination of vision and execution skills; a technical leader with a hands-on mentality.
• Communicates effectively in small and large group formats. Able to articulate a compelling vision and purpose that excites the team and drives outstanding performance and service delivery excellence.
