Job description

Our client, a global experience design agency, specializes in creating immersive digital experiences that blend creative coding, interactive technology, and physical environments for major brands and institutions. The team builds experiences that go beyond standard web development, using advanced sensing, display systems, and responsive interfaces to create work that feels both technical and experiential. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys turning complex ideas into elegant, production-ready interactive experiences and collaborating closely with designers, strategists, and clients., In this role, you will lead front-end development for interactive client projects and internal innovation initiatives, building immersive experiences that live in physical spaces.

You’ll partner with designers, strategists, developers, and clients to prototype, refine, and deliver technically robust experiences, from discovery through installation and support. This includes defining coding standards, reviewing developer work, documenting technical requirements, and ensuring the final experience meets usability, creative, and performance goals.

You will also contribute to mentoring, code reviews, tool development, and occasional site visits to support installations and client engagements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in interactive development, creative coding, or related front-end experience work.
  • Strong background in C++ toolkits, browser-based creative development, graphics programming, and interactive UI systems.
  • Passion for immersive digital storytelling, experimentation, and building experiences that bridge digital and physical spaces.
  • Proficient in Git/GitHub, Figma, and agency collaboration tools, with strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Familiar with OpenGL/GLSL, Qt/QML, and touch or sensor-based interaction design.
  • Skilled in collaborating with UX strategists, designers, developers, and clients across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable mentoring others, reviewing code, and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Background in interactive development, creative coding, front-end engineering, or immersive experience design.
