Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Technology Services, the Systems Analyst provides Tier 2 support, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of district enterprise applications and systems. The position supports Microsoft 365, Google Workspace for Education, Student Information Systems, SharePoint, and other assigned applications in both cloud and on-premises environments. Responsibilities include system administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, integrations, user support, training, and collaboration with technical staff, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology services that support district operations and instructional goals., * Administer and provide support for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace for Education, and other assigned cloud-based and on-premises applications.

  • Provide administration and support for the District SharePoint environment, including site creation, permissions management, configuration, and end-user support.
  • Provide administration, configuration, and technical support for district enterprise applications, including the Student Information System (SIS), staff portal, library management system, business applications, instructional applications, and other third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk staff, Field Technicians, Technology Operations staff, vendors, and end users to troubleshoot and resolve escalated application and system issues.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new applications, technologies, and solutions that improve business and instructional processes.
  • Perform installations, patches, upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and testing for assigned applications and systems.
  • Review, maintain, and monitor personnel data utilized in automated account provisioning and staff account maintenance processes.
  • Configure and maintain settings, routing, permissions, integrations, and workflows for IT service management, ticketing, and asset management systems.
  • Work with vendors, technical staff, and district stakeholders to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and maximize the effectiveness of district technology solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver user training, documentation, and support materials for assigned applications and systems.
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and supporting technology initiatives, application deployments, upgrades, and strategic projects.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational processes to ensure continuity of services and knowledge sharing.
  • Function as a collaborative and high-performing member of the Technology Operations team.
  • Implement and comply with District policies, procedures, standards, and security requirements.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and conform to regular work hours.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and identity management concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based application administration, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Google Workspace for Education, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to develop and maintain administrative automation scripts using PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of application integrations, account provisioning, data synchronization processes, and related enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to independently establish priorities and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to prepare, maintain, and communicate clear technical documentation, procedures, and records.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with users, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and contribute to shared goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-demand environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Ability to represent the District in a positive and professional manner.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth to strengthen job-related competencies., * Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field or at minimum two years of directly related work experience may substitute for Associate’s degree.
  • Experience using, supporting, and administering SharePoint and applications, or similar content management systems framework.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Windows Servers and services.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, SharePoint Online, and related Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Experience administering and supporting Student Information Systems (SIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Experience and knowledge of K-12 school district business processes, instructional systems, and annual operational cycles.
  • Experience with PowerShell and other scripting or automation technologies.
  • Experience with SQL, database queries, reporting tools, and data analysis.
  • Experience with application integrations, APIs, identity management, single sign-on (SSO), automated provisioning, and data synchronization processes.
  • Experience with Incident IQ or similar IT service management, ticketing, and asset management systems.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or willingness to obtain certification after hire.
  • Working knowledge of wired and wireless networking concepts in LAN, WAN, and cloud-connected environments.
  • Experience with web technologies including HTML, XML, JSON, JavaScript, and related platforms.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and enterprise productivity platforms
