Job description

  • Analyze geographic information to support various projects and applications.
  • Create and maintain maps and databases using GIS software.
  • Compile geographic data from sources such as satellites, aerial photographs, and existing maps.
  • Analyze spatial data to generate geographic statistics for reports.
  • Enter new map data using digitizers or direct input of coordinate information.
  • Meet with users to define data needs and develop applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a GIS, scientific, or equivalent discipline.
  • At least 1 year of related experience.
  • Knowledge of GIS principles, cartography, coordinate systems, and spatial data analysis.
