SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize Azure SQL databases and Power BI environments. This role is responsible for ensuring that database systems operate effectively and efficiently while supporting reliable reporting, data accessibility, security, and performance across the organization. The successful candidate will manage relational database instances across development, staging, and production environments while supporting Power BI workspaces, datasets, security, and reporting solutions. This position is ideal for a technology professional with strong Microsoft Azure SQL and Power BI experience who enjoys database optimization, troubleshooting, and improving system performance., * Manage and maintain Azure SQL databases across development, staging, and production environments.

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor relational database instances.
• Create and maintain Power BI workspaces, security settings, content, and datasets across the organization.
• Connect and manage data from multiple sources including SQL, SharePoint, Excel, and other systems.
• Monitor SQL configuration and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with established SLA requirements.
• Provide guidance on database design, architecture, tuning options, and performance improvements.
• Establish database performance baselines and monitor systems for performance deviations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot slow-running queries and implement appropriate performance improvements.
• Tune SQL queries and database configurations to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor database performance and identify potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Support Power BI reporting and data visualization requirements across the organization.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for databases, processes, configurations, and reporting environments.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify database and reporting requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting database, reporting, integration, and performance-related issues.
• Ensure database environments are maintained according to established standards and best practices., * Work with modern Microsoft Azure SQL and Power BI technologies.
• Gain exposure to enterprise-level database and business intelligence environments.
• Play a key role in improving database performance, reliability, and reporting capabilities.
• Work across development, staging, and production environments.

• 2 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI Report Builder.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience building and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience tuning SQL queries and databases to improve performance.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify performance issues and recommend effective technical solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
