Job description

  • Shape and strengthen the Group’s approach to managing technology, cyber, data and AI-related risks.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and independent challenger to senior executives and key decision makers.

  • Influence strategic technology investments, transformation initiatives and emerging business opportunities.

  • Drive risk oversight activities and independent assessments across the organisation.

  • Build strong relationships across Business Areas, Group Functions and control functions.

  • Contribute to the interpretation and implementation of evolving regulatory requirements, including DORA and other ICT-related regulations.

  • Lead the monitoring and assessment of current and emerging technology and AI-related risks across the Group.

  • Further develop frameworks, control objectives and risk management practices within the technology risk domain.

  • Help shape the future of risk management in an environment where innovation, technology and resilience are critical to long-term success., * As Head of ICT Risk & AI, you will lead one of the Bank’s key specialist risk teams and help navigate opportunities and risks arising from technological innovation, digital transformation and the increasing use of AI. Technology is rapidly transforming the financial industry. As digitalization accelerates, cyber threats evolve and AI becomes increasingly embedded in business processes, effective risk management has never been more important. We are now looking for an experienced and inspiring leader to head our ICT Risk & AI unit within Group Non-Financial Risk in second line Group Risk.

In this strategically important role, you will lead a team of specialists responsible for providing independent oversight, challenge and expert advice across technology-related risk areas, including IT Risk, Information Security Risk, Data Risk and emerging AI-related risks. You will work closely with senior leaders across the Group, influencing strategic decisions, major transformation programmes and the development of the Bank’s future risk management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • 10+ years of experience within ICT Risk, Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Operational Risk or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of modern technology environments, digital transformation and emerging technology risks.

  • Experience working within the financial sector or another highly regulated industry.

  • Solid understanding of governance, risk and control frameworks.

  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making at executive level.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including DORA, information security and operational resilience frameworks.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and sound judgement.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • University degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Professional fluency in English.
