Job description

Our client is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect to provide hands-on technical leadership as the organization expands its Salesforce ecosystem and connects the platform with broader enterprise technologies. This role will combine solution architecture with practical development expertise, helping teams determine when to leverage configuration, custom development, integrations, or emerging AI capabilities. The ideal candidate brings a strong Salesforce development foundation, enterprise architecture experience, and recent exposure to AI-enabled solutions while working collaboratively across technical and business teams., * Lead the architecture and design of scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related platform capabilities.

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to determine the appropriate use of Salesforce configuration, declarative automation, custom development, integrations, and third-party solutions.
  • Design solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs, data modeling, security models, and other Salesforce platform technologies.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture and engineering teams to integrate Salesforce with Microsoft technologies, ERP platforms, systems of record, and other enterprise applications.
  • Establish integration strategies using APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, and other approaches while considering scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost.
  • Support integrations involving MuleSoft and/or comparable enterprise integration technologies.
  • Design and evaluate AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities, including Agentforce and Einstein, as well as integrations with external AI platforms such as Claude, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to validate architecture, integrations, user experiences, and emerging AI use cases before broader implementation.
  • Define secure approaches for AI agents and automated solutions, including appropriate data access, identity controls, API boundaries, governance, and auditability.
  • Establish Salesforce architecture standards for environments, deployments, development practices, security, testing, release management, and technical debt.
  • Create and maintain technical architecture documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, data flows, diagrams, and architecture decision records.
  • Lead technical and architecture reviews and provide guidance to Salesforce developers, administrators, product teams, and other technology partners.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, security teams, and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into practical solution roadmaps.
  • Communicate architectural recommendations, technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies clearly to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Help evolve the Salesforce platform while balancing innovation, delivery timelines, long-term maintainability, security, and operational stability.

Requirements

  • Salesforce Architect certification required, such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect.
  • 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years designing or architecting Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong hands-on Salesforce development background with experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, integrations, APIs, and deployment practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect solutions while remaining technically hands-on through development, prototyping, troubleshooting, or proof-of-concept work.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, security and sharing models, automation, and REST, SOAP, Bulk, and/or Streaming APIs.
  • Experience making architectural decisions regarding configuration versus customization, declarative solutions versus custom code, and build-versus-buy approaches.
  • Experience designing enterprise integrations using API-led, middleware-based, event-driven, synchronous, asynchronous, and/or batch integration patterns.
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Azure integration technologies, API management platforms, or similar enterprise integration tools is highly preferred.
  • Recent experience with AI-enabled solutions, preferably involving Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein, Claude, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, or comparable technologies.
  • Understanding of security, governance, data access, identity, auditing, and risk considerations associated with enterprise AI and agentic solutions.
  • Experience working within highly integrated enterprise environments; exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure, Dataverse, Power Platform, or similar technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with modern Salesforce engineering practices, including CI/CD, source-driven development, automated testing, and release governance.
  • Additional Salesforce architecture certifications, such as Integration Architect, Data Architect, or Identity and Access Management Architect, are preferred.
  • Progress toward Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or relevant Microsoft Azure/cloud certifications is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and self-directed approach with the ability to work effectively across development, architecture, security, product, and business teams.
