Visionary Automation Innovation Purchasing Supply Chain Communication Change Control Contract Review English Language Microsoft Office SAP Applications Deltek Costpoint Quality Assurance Quality Management Process Capability Mechanical Engineering, As a Quality Engineer, you will lead Quality Engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring excellence in contract review, requirements management, design reviews, verification/validation, and release to production. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving quality standards and processes. Responsibilities
- Lead Quality Engineering activities throughout the product life cycle, including contract review, requirements management, design reviews, verification/validation, and release to production.
- Initiate and drive internal Corrective Actions Requests (CARs) as required.
- Assist Supply Chain Quality Assurance activities, including approving/auditing suppliers, conducting source inspections of hardware/software, and supporting Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
- Provide an interface between Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing departments during the transition of new products from the design phase to the production phase.
- Support Program Quality Assurance activities for production programs, including First Article Inspections (FAI), Material Review Board (MRB), Change Control Board (CCB), Failure Review Board (FRB), and Work Product review and approval.
- Manage high-priority tasks across multiple projects simultaneously in development.
- Develop inspection plans and processes for receiving and final inspection activities.
- Determine process capability (Cpk) and defect trends based on statistical analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Artificial Intelligence Requirements Management Configuration Management First Article Inspections Engineering Design Process Software Quality (SQA/SQC) Electromechanical Assembly Verification And Validation Product Lifecycle Management Enterprise Resource Planning Continuous Improvement Process Material Requirements Planning Engineering Program Management Capability Maturity Model Integration Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) ASME Boiler And Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), * BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent/related technical degree or experience.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Proficiency in ASME/ANSI Y14.5 with the ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, IPC standards, schematics, and RF test equipment.
- Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance, automated MRP systems, and Cause/Corrective Action systems.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Proficiency in Requirements and Configuration Management tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
- Proficiency in Minitab.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Efficiency in SAP and/or CostPoint preferred.
- AS9100/CMMI experience is a plus.
