Job description

A large enterprise company in the aviation space is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help secure complex, high-visibility cloud environments used across the organization.

This is a hands-on security role for someone who enjoys solving real cloud security problems, not just maintaining infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for strengthening security across Azure and AWS environments, protecting Kubernetes and containerized workloads, improving cloud security posture, and building automation that helps the team detect and remediate risk faster.

You’ll work closely with application, platform, and engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, explain why they matter, and help drive issues through remediation. The team is looking for someone who can take ownership of cloud security controls and help shape how security is enforced across modern cloud environments.

If your background is centered around cloud security, Kubernetes, CNAPP/CSPM, and automation, this role gives you the chance to work in a highly technical environment where your work directly impacts the security of large-scale systems., What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

  • Protect enterprise cloud environments across Azure and AWS
  • Build and enforce security controls for Kubernetes and container platforms
  • Improve cloud security posture using CSPM and CNAPP technologies
  • Review, prioritize, and track cloud security findings through remediation
  • Create cloud security policies and engineering guardrails
  • Partner with developers and application owners to reduce security risk
  • Build automation using Python or Node.js to streamline security operations
  • Develop custom solutions when existing security platforms do not provide the needed functionality
  • Strengthen security across cloud workloads, infrastructure, networking, and identity
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, engineering, and cybersecurity teams
  • Participate in occasional on-call support as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Cloud Security Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience securing Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience protecting Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
  • Hands-on experience with CSPM or CNAPP technologies
  • Experience implementing cloud security standards, policies, and technical guardrails
  • Scripting or automation experience with Python or Node.js
  • Experience evaluating cloud vulnerabilities and prioritizing remediation based on risk
  • Ability to work directly with engineering and application teams to resolve security findings
  • Understanding of security across cloud compute, networking, storage, and identity services
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security
  • Experience with platforms such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Sonrai, Tenable, or comparable tools
  • Experience working in multi-cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Cloud IAM / identity security
  • Knowledge of cloud workload and container protection
  • Experience creating automated remediation workflows
  • Background building scalable cloud security controls
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks
  • Previous experience in aviation or another large enterprise environment

Benefits & conditions

  • $54/hour
  • 5-month contract
  • Hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite per week
  • Typically onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • Fort Worth, TX
  • Must be available to work onsite beginning on the first day of the assignment
