Job description

While Loop is an omnichannel brand, our website serves as the flagship of both our D2C and B2B ecommerce experiences. The Web Dev team sits at the center of everything we build online, taking on a dual role as technical pioneers and supportive partners across the organization. Beyond building our Shopify theme, integrating platform tools, and implementing winning CRO variations, the team creates the foundation for others to succeed. Through clean architecture and clear documentation, we empower internal teams to independently build and manage high-quality website content., As a Web Developer at Loop, you bring strong engineering fundamentals, treat AI tooling as a core part of how you build, and uphold the technical ownership the team holds over our website and surrounding ecosystem. You take responsibility for and pride in what you build-shipping DRY, maintainable, and scalable code while creating the documentation and systems that empower others. You build easy rapport, communicate openly, and raise your hand early to share your opinions or doubts. You turn requests into clear technical choices, asking the right questions and making decisions appropriate to the scope of the work.

What you’ll do

  • You own storefront features end to end, including Shopify theme and template work, custom integrations, campaign launch support, documentation, and post-release support.
  • You take ownership of ticket refinement within our 2-week sprints, turning open-ended requests into clear, well-scoped technical tickets before implementation begins.
  • You style with Tailwind based on Figma designs following our design system, with the discipline to build from existing components and design tokens.
  • You use AI coding tools as an intentional part of your workflow, while knowing where they help, where they do not, and when to go deeper.
  • You stay current with Shopify updates, ecommerce and web-development trends, translating what is relevant into action.
  • You own accessibility (WCAG) and Core Web Vitals on the surfaces you touch.

You won’t

  • Ship AI-generated code you cannot explain and fully stand behind
  • Over-engineer solutions that should remain simple
  • Introduce new code instead of leveraging existing components and utilities
  • Deliver a demo without taking responsibility for what happens after launch
  • Hide behind process when a clear technical decision needs to be made
  • Hide roadblocks or suffer in silence when faced with a difficult technical challenge

How you’ll succeed

We look for people who think big, stay curious, and aren’t afraid to go all in to make things happen. You’ll thrive by fostering trust through open, approachable communication, sharing wins, discussing tradeoffs, and being candid when facing technical struggles. You’ll succeed by shipping work that is scalable, maintainable, and useful, not just technically correct. You’ll balance ambition with usability, speed, and measurable business value. You’ll also use AI with judgment: building repeatable workflows where relevant, reviewing outputs against a defined quality bar, catching issues before they ship, and remaining accountable for the result.

Requirements

Experience: Ideally 2 to 5 years in web development, with hands-on ecommerce experience required

Own Loop’s Shopify storefront and help drive a scalable, high-quality ecommerce experience., * 2 to 5 years of web development experience, with hands-on ecommerce work (Shopify platform experience strongly preferred).

  • Strong fluency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, grounded in core engineering fundamentals rather than relying solely on AI prompts.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and utility-first CSS frameworks like Tailwind.
  • Practical knowledge of website accessibility (WCAG standards) and Core Web Vitals performance optimization.
  • A clear, intentional approach to integrating AI tools into your daily workflow, backed by sound judgment and code accountability.
  • Demonstrated practical experience shipping quality web projects (a CS degree is welcome, but real-world execution is what counts).

Loop isn’t for everyone. We might not be a match if you:

  • wait for direction instead of taking initiative
  • mistake activity for impact
  • feel uncomfortable when priorities or requirements are still taking shape
  • prefer prolonged alignment over making a considered decision

About the company

At Loop we cut through the noise, so the work that matters actually lands. We go all in on impact, connection, and growth. And you’ll feel that the moment you walk in. You’ll know people across teams fast, because candor is care, wins are celebrated loudly, and fun is taken seriously. And when you go all in at work, you also go all in on life. That’s why we give you 32 vacation days, enough time to recharge, travel, or dive headfirst into whatever makes you happiest.
