Job description

As an Exams and MIS Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the College’s examination and management information services. You will assist the Examinations Officer in coordinating all aspects of the examinations process, ensuring compliance with Awarding Body and JCQ regulations, and providing accurate, timely and effective administrative support relating to student registrations, examinations and achievement data.

You will support the administration and delivery of examinations, including student registrations, examination timetabling, room and resource bookings, access arrangements, special considerations, examination materials and results processing. You will also assist in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of learner, curriculum and funding data, contribute to the production of reports and statistical information, and support enrolment, audit and inspection activities. Working closely with colleagues, Awarding Bodies and external agencies, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the College’s examinations and MIS functions. You will work alongside the MIS Officer in the provision of day-to-day MIS services, ensuring the accuracy and completeness and learner, funding and curriculum data.

Requirements

To apply, you should have a good standard of education, including a minimum of GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English, together with excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining administrative systems and processes, producing accurate reports and data, and working independently as well as within a team is essential. Experience within an examinations or MIS environment and knowledge of Awarding Body procedures and Management Information Systems would be advantageous.

You will need strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. A positive, proactive and flexible approach, alongside a commitment to learner success, equality, diversity, safeguarding and continuous improvement, is essential.
