Job description

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.

What You’ll Do

As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering technology change across the organisation. Working within the IT function, you’ll manage a portfolio of projects that support key business areas including Engineering, Operations, Business Systems, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Customer Solutions.

You’ll be responsible for driving projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring delivery is controlled, well-governed and aligned to business objectives. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams, you’ll help deliver meaningful change that improves efficiency, enhances capabilities and supports Alexander Dennis’ long-term strategic goals.

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering business and technology change programmes within complex organisations. You will be highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll bring strong planning, governance, risk management and communication skills, alongside the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers. A proactive approach, commercial awareness and the ability to drive projects through to successful completion are essential.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering or enterprise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Systems, ERP platforms or other business-critical applications.
  • Experience working within PRINCE2, Agile, APM or similar project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation, automation, process improvement or AI-enabled change initiatives.
  • A recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent.
