Job description
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of enterprise cloud migration projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project and migration plans covering scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resources, and rollback strategies.
- Manage multiple cloud migration workstreams and track progress against project milestones.
- Coordinate application, infrastructure, and data migrations across cloud environments.
- Work with architects and engineers to align migration activities with target-state cloud architecture.
- Serve as the primary liaison among technical teams, business units, vendors, and leadership.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.
- Maintain CRAIDL logs, project documentation, status reports, and post-milestone lessons learned.
- Coordinate migration cutovers and go-live activities, including readiness reviews, communications, contingency plans, and rollback procedures.
- Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, and cloud spend during migration.
- Manage technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular executive and project status reporting.
- Perform additional project management activities as assigned by the Project Management Office.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 8 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years supporting cloud or infrastructure projects, and a proven ability to manage large-scale enterprise IT initiatives involving multiple teams, dependencies, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholders., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of IT project management experience.
- At least 2 years of experience managing cloud or infrastructure-related projects.
- Experience delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects involving multiple teams and cross-functional dependencies.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Understanding of cloud migration approaches including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and resources.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Planner.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical information for business and executive stakeholders.
- Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with networking, security, infrastructure, and data migration considerations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP and/or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
- Experience coordinating migrations involving multiple cloud providers.
- Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience planning enterprise cutovers and production go-live activities.
