Job description
This position is responsible for serving as a key contributor to project objectives and specific team deliverables directed toward the planning and execution of activities related to client computer endpoint management., 1. Serve as part of the IT team subject matter expert in understanding the Endpoint management tools by working with the vendors to understand, use, and implement the tools in the Richmond County School District.
- Define and Implement policies and procedures that provide guidance and compliance for decision-making and internal processes.
- Work with Endpoint management vendors to resolve complex technical issues within the Richmond County School District.
- Define and perform routine audits that confirm endpoint activities are being applied and reported correctly.
- Communicate and Work with all school technicians and internal support groups to address and resolve endpoint issues within the Richmond County School District.
- Define and document test cases to reveal errors, and defects, and to determine if different features within a system will perform as expected.
- Minimize disruption to the district by scheduling convenient times for endpoint management activities.
- Follow the change management process to apply all endpoint management activities.
- Participate in after-hour, weekend, or holiday school-related tasks and events.
- Serve as an On-Call support person for IT work-related tasks or School District Tasks
- Maintain and complete records of work and repair history in the work order system.
- Drive an assigned vehicle, maintain a safety record, and keep the vehicle in an orderly condition.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures and protocols.
- The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee’s supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law, board policy, administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission.
Requirements
Education: An associate degree in Computer Technology preferred or two or more technology certifications in the computer technology field.
Certification or Licensure: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Skills: Information technology practices: Hands-on and working knowledge of computer equipment, peripherals, tools, and methods for installing, cleaning, adjusting, and repairing equipment; Understanding of electronic concepts, logic, digital electronic logic, computer operations, and data transmissions. High Performing characteristics: Creative thinker, practices effective multiple problem-solving strategies, works exceptionally well across functional teams, shows consistency and persistent effort, and creates exceptional customer experiences
Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a school system environment or related industry experience in technology.
