Job description

A3 Consulting is seeking a Power BI Data Analyst to support executive dashboards, KPI validation, governance reporting, decision logs, action tracking, and leadership briefing materials for a federal mission-support engagement. If your skill set includes business analysis, executive reporting, dashboard validation, and governance support skills, this role is for you! In this role you will:

  • Support executive dashboard inputs, KPI definitions, metric logic, source-data validation, refresh cadence, and reporting products.
  • Document KPI definitions, data owners, source artifacts, known limitations, update methods, reporting cadence, and decision use.
  • Compare dashboard status against schedule data, risk registers, action trackers, decision logs, and approved status inputs.
  • Identify reporting variances, data-quality issues, misaligned metrics, stale information, and broken or unsupported reporting logic.
  • Recommend corrective actions for client review when dashboard data does not align with approved source information.
  • Prepare governance packages, executive dashboard inputs, leadership briefing materials, decision logs, agendas, meeting minutes, and action items.
  • Maintain reporting products and approved artifacts in client-approved repositories.
  • Support version control, artifact organization, dashboard traceability, and reporting-product configuration management.
  • Coordinate with schedule, risk, resource, and project management personnel to ensure reporting reflects current program posture.
  • Support data-quality checks for KPI accuracy, source-data consistency, refresh timing, and executive-readiness.
  • Help translate schedule, risk, dependency, and program data into concise dashboard visuals, summary tables, leadership narratives, and briefing materials.
  • Maintain clear traceability from executive metrics to source data, owners, assumptions, limitations, and supporting evidence.
  • Support transition and knowledge-management activities by documenting current dashboard structure, source data, reporting cadence, repository locations, and known data-quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of business analysis, dashboard reporting, governance support, data validation, executive reporting, or federal PMO support experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to translate schedule, risk, and program data into clear executive reporting products.
  • Experience supporting KPI definitions, data-quality checks, action tracking, decision logs, and leadership reporting.
  • Experience validating dashboard data against approved source artifacts, schedule data, risk registers, and status inputs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies, reporting gaps, stale metrics, and unsupported status claims.
  • Strong writing and visualization skills, including the ability to prepare concise executive summaries, briefing materials, and decision-support narratives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and federal PMO environments preferred.

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret clearance or higher required.
