Job description

We are seeking a Principal Architect with strong hands-on experience in Node.js, TypeScript, React, API architecture, and AI Agent technologies to lead architecture initiatives for an API Discovery, Inventory & Rationalization workstream.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern application architecture, API ecosystems, enterprise integration, and AI-assisted engineering. This role will define architecture patterns and technical strategies for discovering, cataloging, analyzing, rationalizing, and modernizing enterprise APIs using intelligent automation and AI Agent capabilities., * Define and lead the technical architecture and solution strategy for API Discovery, Inventory, and Rationalization.

  • Architect scalable applications and services using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
  • Design and implement frameworks for discovering APIs across enterprise applications, repositories, gateways, documentation, and runtime environments.
  • Define API inventory and cataloging strategies, including API ownership, consumers, dependencies, lifecycle, versions, usage, and health.
  • Lead API rationalization initiatives to identify duplicate, redundant, obsolete, overlapping, and modernization candidates.
  • Leverage AI Agents, Agentic AI, LLMs, and AI-assisted development tools to automate API discovery, classification, documentation, dependency analysis, and rationalization.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI Agent tools/frameworks into enterprise engineering workflows.
  • Design intelligent workflows that can analyze API specifications, source code, documentation, logs, traffic patterns, and metadata.
  • Establish enterprise-level API architecture standards, governance, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Design RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, security, platform, data, and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to senior engineers and development teams.
  • Evaluate technology choices, conduct architecture reviews, and drive proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies.
  • Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Drive API modernization and migration strategies where legacy APIs can be consolidated, replaced, or retired.
  • Establish CI/CD and automation patterns supporting API lifecycle management.
  • Create architecture documentation, reference architectures, technical standards, and decision records.

Requirements

  • Principal / Enterprise / Solution Architecture experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Node.js

  • Microservices
  • API Gateway / API Management
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, API discovery, API inventory, API governance, and API rationalization.
  • Experience with AI Agents / Agentic AI / LLM-based tools and AI-assisted engineering.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications and engineering workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with API specifications such as OpenAPI / Swagger.
  • Experience analyzing API dependencies, consumers, producers, versions, and usage patterns.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security.
  • Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication, architecture documentation, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
