Job description
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Cyber Security Engineer to protect systems, networks, applications, and data from security threats. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and security tools., * Monitor security systems, networks, and applications for potential threats.
- Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Analyze security logs and alerts using SIEM tools.
- Assist with threat detection, incident response, and security investigations.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits.
- Work with IT and development teams to resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Maintain documentation related to security incidents and controls.
- Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and networking.
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar.
- Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, endpoint security, and vulnerability scanners.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Understanding of incident response and threat detection.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows security.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001., * Bachelor’’s or Master’’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, CISSP, or OSCP are a plus.
- Experience with cloud security and identity/access management.
- Experience with EDR/XDR and vulnerability management platforms., * 1-3 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a security operations or enterprise IT environment or .
- Strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats and attack techniques.
