Job description

Blu Omega is seeking an Agentic AI Data Solution Architect to support a federal program focused on data modernization in the public health sector. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for designing and delivering innovative AI solutions in a mission-driven federal environment. The position requires experience supporting data architecture, AI development, and full-stack application delivery within secure, regulated settings., * Design and deliver functional AI prototypes within rapid 3-4-week sprint cycles, integrating technologies such as LLMs, agentic AI, NLP models, and intelligent search.

  • Architect scalable AI solutions, including foundational system architectures, agent data models, memory and state management, vector and graph-based data stores, and end-to-end RAG pipelines.
  • Develop data architectures that enable AI agents to securely retrieve, reason over, and interact with enterprise and mission data.
  • Develop and integrate full-stack application components, including React.js interfaces, backend services, APIs, and supporting cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and optimize data ingestion, ETL, indexing, retrieval, and integration processes to support AI-enabled applications.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and incorporate promising capabilities into prototypes and architectures.
  • Ensure solutions align with federal data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to validate use cases and refine technical approaches.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, technical tradeoffs, and prototype results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination, * 5+ years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or related fields.

  • 3+ years of experience with AI, machine learning, or knowledge-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience architecting and developing solutions using LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI, NLP, or RAG technologies.
  • Experience with knowledge management, semantic search, and enterprise information retrieval.
  • Experience developing and integrating React.js front-end applications supporting AI workflows.
  • Experience with vector databases and retrieval technologies such as PostgreSQL with PgVector, Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS.
  • Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune.
  • Experience with ETL, data integration, APIs, and scripting (Python and SQL).
  • Knowledge of data governance, data curation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver within fast-paced development cycles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related field., * Experience delivering data-centric AI or ML solutions within healthcare, biomedical, or federal environments.
  • Experience designing APIs and microservices using FastAPI or Flask.
  • Experience implementing caching and state management with Redis.
  • Knowledge of NLP frameworks such as spaCy, NLTK, and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI and data platforms including Microsoft Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, AWS Kendra, or Google Cloud Vertex AI.
  • Knowledge of data ethics, privacy standards, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience with emerging agentic AI frameworks and orchestration technologies like LlamaIndex.
  • Experience taking AI solutions from rapid prototype to production-ready architecture.

Benefits & conditions

Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
