Job description
We are seeking a Regional Computer Operations Support Analyst to support a mission-critical C2BMC watch-floor operations environment at Schriever Space Force Base., This is an entry-level opportunity for a cleared technical professional with up to three years of related experience. The selected candidate will perform daily system monitoring, initial troubleshooting, technical support, and operations and maintenance activities across UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper environments.
This position requires on-site work and participation in a rotating 24x7 schedule. Candidates must be able to work assigned 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends., Perform daily monitoring of systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment.
- Provide first-level technical support to operational users.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of hardware, software, systems, and networks.
- Monitor system availability and identify operational or technical issues.
- Document and report system events, outages, and technical problems to watch leadership.
- Assist technical personnel with hardware and software installations.
- Support user-account creation and maintenance as directed by the local Information Systems Security Officer.
- Support operations, testing, and real-world mission events.
- Provide substitute coverage for night, weekend, and other assigned shifts.
- Perform additional duties supporting system availability and mission operations.
Requirements
Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Active DoD 8570/8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
- Security+ CE, CySA+, or another active certification meeting the IAT Level II or higher requirement.
- Ability to maintain the required certification throughout employment.
- Zero to three years of related computer operations, systems administration, network administration, or technical-support experience.
- Familiarity or experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity or experience with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Ability to document and communicate operational incidents and technical issues clearly.
- Ability to work on-site at Schriever Space Force Base.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., Previous experience in a 24x7 watch-floor, operations center, network operations center, or comparable environment.
- Experience with C2BMC, missile-defense, command-and-control, or comparable mission systems.
- Relevant postsecondary education, technical training, or military technical experience., Active DoD 8570/8140 certification

- Availability to work the required rotating schedule
Benefits & conditions
The selected candidate must work a rotating 24x7 schedule. Shifts are 12 hours and may include days, nights, and weekends. Specific shift assignments are determined by mission requirements.
