Job description

Data Analytics Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Engineer with strong hands-on experience across the full data lifecycle, from data analysis and modelling to pipeline development, orchestration, quality, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines.
  • Develop data ingestion processes from various source systems into a hybrid data platform.
  • Work with on-premises Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using Data Vault 2.0 and cloud platforms using Medallion Architecture.
  • Develop and optimize data models using Kimball dimensional modelling.
  • Build and maintain data transformations using dbt, SQL, and Jinja.
  • Work with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI.
  • Support data quality, governance, workflow orchestration, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify relevant KPIs and reporting requirements.
  • Work pragmatically within an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Proven recent experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer and Power BI Business Analyst.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and Power BI/DAX.
  • Strong experience with dbt, Kimball dimensional modelling, and Data Vault 2.0.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Python, and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data mapping, data migration, and Enterprise Data Warehousing.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Fundamentals, dbt Fundamentals, or Collibra Data Steward are a plus.
  • Good communication skills in Dutch, English, and French.

  • Location: Brussels, Belgium
  • Hybrid working.
