If our team feels you are better suited for another role, we will reach out about the alternate opportunity.Position Overview:As a Quant Developer at Squarepoint you will work side-by-side with Quant Researchers and Traders to implement novel trading strategies and software for research projects. You could develop tools to apply advanced statistical methods in order to identify new trading opportunities and to monitor their impact over time. You could also develop improvements to our trading strategies through the running and thorough analysis of backtesting simulations across vast amounts of proprietary data.Whatever your project, you will drive cross-team initiatives at Squarepoint and will gain an excellent chance to learn from some of the world’s most knowledgeable industry experts as you work towards our continued innovation in the quant research space.Required Qualifications, Degree in Applied Math

Requirements

Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or other quantitative disciplinesUp to 4 years of experience in a relevant role such as software or quant developmentProficiency, in at least one of Python, C++, or KDB+/qStrong interest in, or knowledge of finance and the global marketsAbility to work effectively with AI tools and systems, including demonstrable experience using them collaboratively to enhance software development, data analysis, or research workflows.Experience working with git and LinuxExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with usAbility to work well in a fast-paced environmentNice to have:Master’s degree or higher with emphasis in a highly quantitative disciplineDeep knowledge of financial markets in at least one domain or asset classExperience with database management systems and related technologies such as SQLExperience working with financial data in a similar role
