Your Mission Antes de solicitar este puesto, por favor, lea la siguiente información sobre esta oportunidad que encontrará a continuación.As our On-Site Infrastructure Engineer in Barcelona, you will be the backbone of BIKE24’s Spanish warehouse operations.You ensure a reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure that keeps our logistics running smoothly every day - and you are the first go-to person connecting the warehouse floor to our central IT organisation.You will be on-site at the Barcelona warehouse for at least 3 days per week, with increased presence required during critical operational situations or incidents.Working hand-in-hand with our IT Team in Dresden, your goal is to build and maintain a solid IT infrastructure foundation that guarantees stable, uninterrupted warehouse operations at BIKE24.YOUR NEW CHALLENGESOn-Site Warehouse ITBe physically present at the Barcelona warehouse at least 3 days per week to directly support warehouse operations and staff; increase on-site time during incidents or emergenciesAct as the primary IT point of contact for all warehouse staff and operational teams in BarcelonaEnsure stable, performant IT systems and network connectivity for day-to-day warehouse and logistics operationsProactively monitor on-site infrastructure health and resolve issues before they impact operationsCoordinate hardware provisioning, setup, and lifecycle management for warehouse endpoints and network equipmentIT Organisation Interface & CollaborationServe as the primary IT liaison between the Barcelona warehouse and BIKE24’s central IT organisationCollaborate closely and on a daily basis with the IT Team in Dresden to ensure aligned solutions and consistent service deliveryEscalate, coordinate and communicate infrastructure issues effectively to the central team, ensuring fast resolution and transparent status updatesContribute to cross-location IT initiatives and ensure Barcelona warehouse requirements are well represented in IT roadmap discussionsInfrastructure EngineeringDevelop and maintain on-premises infrastructure solutions following established best practicesDesign, implement and operate modular server-based systems to meet the evolving demands of the warehouse environmentEnsure BIKE24’s data management systems operate efficiently and scale with increasing operational requirementsIdentify, analyse and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application delivery issuesAdvise and support other teams on infrastructure topics and provide recommendations based on business needsRecommend and implement improvements to continuously advance the infrastructure platformWHAT YOU BRINGTechnical SkillsProfessional experience in IT systems administration, backed by a degree in computer science, a vocational qualification as IT specialist in system integration / IT system administrator, or comparable trainingStrong knowledge of Windows and Linux client & server administration; experience with Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.G. Ansible) and a solid understanding of on-premises security solutionsExperience administering database systems such as Oracle or SQL ServerFamiliarity with monitoring tools xsgfvud (Grafana, Kibana, Icinga or similar) and version control with Git / GitHubSolid understanding of current networking technologies: VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NFS, etc.Personal QualitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills - you are the face of IT at the warehouse and need to build trust quicklyProactive and solution-oriented mindset; you thrive under pressure and act decisively in incident situationsStructured, reliable working style with a high degree of personal responsibilityTeam player who enjoys collaborating across locations and culturesFluent English (written and spoken); Spanish is a strong plus; German is an advantageWillingness and flexibility to increase on-site presence during critical situations or incidentsWhat we offerMonday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:40 (with 30 mins break)3 days a week working from our Lliçà d’Amunt logistic center, 2 days a working from homeBIKE24 website discountsOnce a month free lunch at our warehouseDiscount in Medical Insurance
