Teamleader IT Applications

Do you want to do more than just manage IT applications-do you want to actively help shape the digital transformation of an international company? Then take on a key role in our global IT organization as a Team Leader, IT Applications.

In this role, you will lead our IT Applications team and be responsible for the further development of our application landscape-from Microsoft 365 and Azure to PLM/PDM solutions and innovative AI and automation technologies such as Microsoft Copilot and the Power Platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the IT Applications team, including the professional development and advancement of team members
• Ensuring the smooth operation and further development of global IT applications and systems: Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and the Modern Work environment; PLM/PDM (CIM database), CAD and related business applications; collaboration, intranet/SharePoint, DMS, and telephony
• Responsibility for the cross-functional application architecture, including the definition and further development of standards, roadmaps, and integration concepts
• Responsibility for ODW AI/automation topics (Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform), including governance, rollout, and enablement
• Management of information security & compliance within the area of responsibility (ISO 27001, TISAX, NIS2) in close coordination with the ISMS
• Coordination and management of global IT projects in close coordination with business units and external partners
• Management and prioritization of global requirements, as well as evaluation and decision-making regarding “make-or-buy” (in-house development vs. off-the-shelf software/purchases), including cost-effectiveness and compliance assessments
• Acting as the interface between IT and business units, including requirements and process management in coordination with all IT teams
• Managing internal communication and enablement campaigns (e.g., adoption of new tools)
• Responsible for 1st- and 2nd-level support within the department as well as user and system support
• Monitoring, managing, and optimizing applications; continuous improvement of IT services, systems, tools, and processes

Technical Requirements

• A successfully completed degree in computer science or equivalent education/training in the IT field
• Experience leading (small) teams
• Strong knowledge of: Microsoft 365 / Azure / Entra ID, cloud applications, PLM/PDM, CAD, as well as initial experience with AI/automation technologies such as Copilot, Power Platform, or comparable tools
• Experience in setting up and operating IT systems, as well as in leading global IT projects
• Knowledge of ISMS/ISO 27001, TISAX, and NIS2 is a plus
• Certifications (e.g., ITIL) are desirable
• Good written and spoken English skills
