Job description
- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that transform business processes and modernise legacy systems.
- Collaborate with domain experts, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Lead the delivery of enterprise AI initiatives leveraging Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio/Foundry, Cognitive Search, and related cloud services.
- Architect and develop secure, scalable applications using Python, TypeScript, C#, and modern full-stack frameworks.
- Build and integrate intelligent solutions using LLMs, RAG architectures, MCP frameworks, and API-driven services.

Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years delivering enterprise AI and machine learning solutions.
- Hands-on experience with the Azure AI ecosystem, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio/Foundry, Cognitive Search, Azure Functions, and modern AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Claude, Codex, Windsurf, or similar platforms.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, TypeScript, and C#.
- Experience building full-stack applications, RESTful services, and API-based integrations.
- Solid understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and generative AI solution patterns.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise data security, governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services, FinTech, Healthcare, or similar compliance-driven environments.
- Proficiency with GitHub, Visual Studio Code, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary for this position is between $ 81337 to $ 141500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
