Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced C# Software Developer to join their Power Delivery IT team and help drive the next era of energy innovation. In this role, you will work within an agile team, collaborating daily to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement reliable, efficient systems. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based on-site in Juno Beach, Florida, where you will contribute to both new development and the enhancement of existing applications that support critical business processes. You will be responsible for building customized programming solutions, integrating applications into the technical infrastructure, and ensuring high performance and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings deep .NET expertise, strong front-end skills, and a passion for clean, cost-effective code. You will also have the chance to mentor less experienced staff and lead projects when needed, making a tangible impact on the team’s success., * Design, develop, test, debug, and implement new systems and enhancements to existing applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

  • Create customized programming solutions and maintain existing system functionality across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Systems Analysts and cross-functional team members to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Participate in ticket management and resolution processes, monitoring progress and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely troubleshooting.
  • Lead projects when required and provide technical direction, training, and guidance to less experienced developers.
  • Ensure compliance with defined SDLC processes, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, and General Computing Controls.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6-10 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, MVC, WCF, COM, ASP.NET, ODP.NET, and Dev Express.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and Angular for modern front-end development.
  • Proven ability to build and consume REST and SOAP web services.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 2012/2014+.
  • Experience using source code repositories such as Git.
  • Background working in agile teams with a collaborative, co-creative mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with mapping technologies such as OSM, Leaflets, or ESRI.
  • Full-stack development experience and exposure to microservices and APIs.
  • Knowledge of mobility, augmented reality, or related emerging technologies.
