SAP Basis Lead

• Lead end-to-end SAP Basis activities across full lifecycle implementations (Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run) for Greenfield S/4HANA programs
• Define and execute landscape/environment strategy (DEV, QA, PRE-PROD, PROD) aligned with global rollout waves
• Design and manage client strategy (client copies, logical system setup, client roles)
• Establish and govern transport management strategy (CTS/ChaRM), ensuring controlled and compliant movement across landscapes
• Coordinate global rollout planning, including regional deployments, cutover planning, and hypercare support
• Oversee Basis support for SAP cloud integrations (Ariba, SuccessFactors, IBP, SAC), ensuring connectivity and stability
• Implement and maintain SSO (Single Sign-On) and Active Directory integrations, including user provisioning and authentication mechanisms
• Monitor system health, performance tuning, and capacity planning for S/4HANA environments
• Lead system installation, upgrades, patches, and kernel updates
• Manage incident, change, and problem tickets using Jira; ensure SLA adherence and proper documentation
• Collaborate with functional, security, and infrastructure teams for cross-stream dependencies
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance standards
• Drive automation initiatives for system monitoring, deployments, and housekeeping tasks
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior Basis consultants, and guiding best practices

Core SAP Basis Expertise

• 10+ years of SAP Basis experience, including multiple end-to-end S/4HANA Greenfield implementations
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, installation, system refreshes, and upgrades
• Deep understanding of SAP landscape design and environment strategy

Strategy & Architecture Proven experience defining:

• Landscape/Environment Strategy (multi-tier global landscapes)
• Client Strategy (multi-client vs single-client approaches)
• Transport Strategy (CTS+, ChaRM, retrofit strategies)

Experience in global rollout models (template-based deployments, localization handling) Cloud & Integration Experience Hands-on experience integrating SAP with:

• SAP Ariba
• SAP SuccessFactors
• SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning)
• SAP SAC (Analytics Cloud)
• Knowledge of SAP BTP / Cloud Connector / CPI integrations is highly desirable

Security & Identity Management

• Strong experience in SSO setup (SAML, OAuth, Kerberos)
• Integration with Active Directory (AD) for authentication and user provisioning
• Understanding of SAP authorization concepts and GRC integration

Tools & Operations

• Experience with Jira for incident, problem, and change tracking
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks
• Experience with monitoring tools (Solution Manager, Focused Run, or third-party tools)

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Proven ability to lead global teams and coordinate across time zones
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments during go-lives and cutovers
• Mentoring and team development experience

Travel: This position requires someone who can travel at least 80%. Preferred location is East coast or Midwest. Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have; (But not a must) Prior experience leading multi vendor, global delivery programs. Industry experience in manufacturing, life sciences.
