Job description

  • Windows desktop developer tools for XML, JSON, EDI, ETL, databases, UML, XBRL, and more
  • High-performance server applications for Windows and Linux using the same technologies
  • Rapid application development tools and server applications for mobile platforms
  • Regulatory solutions (e.g., CbCR, EBA, ESEF, Solvency II, WIP) delivered via mobile apps or Excel VSTO add-ins

What You’ll Do

  • Advise customers on how to implement Altova products to meet their goals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; reproduce, analyze, and document findings
  • Communicate clearly with customers via email, phone, chat, remote desktop, and video
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, QA, and documentation teams on technical matters
  • Capture customer feedback and contribute to product quality and usability

Requirements

  • Language skills: Excellent English (C1). German is a plus
  • Communication: Clear, concise writing and speaking in technical and business settings
  • Customer support experience: Providing technical support across email/phone/chat/remote tools

Technical Strengths (any mix of the following is welcome)

  • XML ecosystem: XML Schema, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, XBRL, UML
  • JSON: JSON, JSON Schema, JSON Lines
  • EDI: EDIFACT, X12
  • Databases & SQL: Driver configuration; working across dev/test/prod; JDBC/ODBC/ADO
  • App delivery: Familiarity with mobile app development & deployment (Android, iOS, Windows, HTML5)
  • Systems: VM usage; installing/configuring Windows & Linux; containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Generalist mindset: Broad knowledge of software development processes and Internet technologies

  • No Travel required, The collective agreement minimum salary is 3,267 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis). The actual salary range amounts to 3,500 EUR to 4,500 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis) depending on the actual experiance. The salary is paid 14 times per year. The collective agreement Informationstechnologie, Datenverarbeitung (IT) applies.

Overtime

Any accrued overtime is compensated in the form of time off.
