Requirements

Join an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Cambridge-based development team focussed on the pursuit of elegant software design and great user experience. This company pride themselves on providing intuitive software tools to make their users’ lives easier and their days more productive, and this has helped them grow at an impressive rate. If you are keen to work for a company that values quality design, then this could be a great option for you.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the team, contributing towards design and development of new features, but also helping champion good design and software engineering best practice. The company are keen to recruit engineers with excellent software design and development skills and the initiative to take on new challenges as they arise. Strong existing skills in C# and JavaScript are ideal. This is a company that values employee development, and as well as picking up skills in technologies such as React, AWS, and Kubernetes, you would be actively supported in building your skills more generally.

You will need:

  • A 1st or 2.1 degree in Computer Science or similarly applicable subject from a well-regarded university
  • Excellent hands-on software engineering skills and a solid understanding of industry best practice
  • Strong software design skills; able to create testable, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Coding skills in C# and JavaScript; ability to work on both frontend and backend features
  • Initiative to tackle any issues that arise, and good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and end users
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship
