This is a superb opportunity for outstanding graduates to join a small, specialised team of engineers responsible for the development of the architecture and implementation of advanced high performance internet routers, highly parallel multi-core network processors and delivery systems for the 21st century internet.
Requirements
You will have an exceptional educational record with mostly A* and A grades at A-level, and have (or be expecting) a 1st or 2.1 degree in Electronics, Computer Science or other relevant subject from a top Russell Group university. Similarly qualified, experienced candidates will also be considered.
Your CV must demonstrate skills or a keen interest in C and C++ such as relevant commercial experience, internships, or substantial personal projects. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of assembly language programming, especially related to driver-level software to interface to hardware. Experience of real-time operating systems such as VxWorks is highly prized. Understanding of networking protocols and a good background in data structures and algorithms would be beneficial.
You must be able to solve tricky problems and be able to get to grips with complex systems. The team thrives on intellectual challenges and overcoming those challenges by working together.
