Automation of Tests Code Coverage Code Review Software Debugging Linux Python (Programming Language) Software Engineering Scripting

Job description

Liaising with colleagues in the Software Engineering, QA, and Usability teams, you would develop new automated test capability to replace time-consuming and subjective manual testing. You would develop tests for new and existing Linux-based products, tools, libraries, and end-to-end infrastructure. Your QA expertise and testing observations would provide valuable input and user feedback to decision makers. You would investigate test failures to drive improvements to both the test framework and the product under test, and you would champion best practice through code reviews and promoting coding standards.

Requirements

  • A good degree in a relevant STEM subject from a well-ranked university
  • Excellent testing skills, including automated testing and an arsenal of debugging techniques
  • Good software engineering and scripting skills, preferably in Python
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship

Benefits & conditions

Based at the company’s offices in Cambridge, the team enjoys a fast-paced, start-up-like culture combined within the surety of being part of an established company. An excellent remuneration and benefits package is on offer for the successful candidate.
